GIANCARLO TINTORI, BORN IN MILAN IN 1961, GRADUATED IN ARCHITECTURE AT POLITECNICO OF MILAN.
IN 1982 HE WON A COMPETITION ORGANIZED BY RAI ITALIAN TELEVISION FOR SET DESIGNER, PARTICIPATING FOR OVER A DECADE IN THE MAJOR TELEVISION AND FILM PRODUCTIONS IN ITALY AND ABROAD.
HE WORKED AS ASSISTANT TO TV SET PROJECTS OF PAOLO PORTOGHESI, GIORGIO ARMANI, GAE AULENTI, PIERO POLATO, LUIGI SERAFINI, VICO MAGISTRETTI, ACHILLE CASTIGLIONI AND PIERLUIGI CERRI.
AS DESIGN CONSULTANT HE WORKS ON SET FOR: TOYOTA, PEUGEOT, ARISTON WITH DIRECTOR WIM WENDERS, ITALIANA PETROLI AND PHARMACIA.
FOUNDED IN 1991, GIANCARLO TINTORI LTD ARCHITECTURE | DESIGN | GRAPHIC, ESTABLISHING ITS HEADQUARTER IN MILAN.
IN 1997, HE DESIGNED THE NEW ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT FOR THE EXTE ' BOUTIQUE OF ITTIERRE GROUP FOR WHICH HE ALSO HANDLED PROJECTS FOR A SHOWROOM AND SOME SET FOR EVENTS.
IN 1998, HE DESIGNED NINE EXTE ' BOUTIQUES IN THE MAJOR CITIES OF JAPAN.
IN THE SUMMER OF ' 99, EXTE ' BOUTIQUES WERE OPENED IN CAPRI, ROME VIA BORGOGNONA AND MILAN VIA DELLA SPIGA, BOTH ARE DESIGNED ACCORDING TO THE NEW CONCEPT.
AS RESULT OF THE FIRST PROJECTS IN JAPAN, SHISEIDO GROUP COMMISSIONED HIM TO DESIGN TWO DEPARTMENT STORES IN TAMAGAWA AND HARAJUKU FOR THE BRAND GINZA SHISEIDO BOUTIQUE WHICH WERE INAUGURATED IN MARCH ' 98 IN TOKYO.
HE DESIGNED THE SET EXHIBITION “WORLD OF JEANS" FOR THE EXPO 2000 IN PARIS.
UNTIL 2001 HE WAS A CONSULTANT FOR THE WINDOW PLANNING AND VISUAL MERCHANDISING FOR: GIO MORETTI, AISHTI, BIFFI, GENNY, CALVIN KLEIN, ROBERTO CAVALLI, CESARE PACIOTTI, CARACTERE, MONILA, BORGOFIORI, VIERRE MONTENAPOLEONE.
HE DESIGNED AND SUPERVISED THE RENOVATION OF TWO FLOORS OF FASHION PLAZA, IN DUSSELDORF FOR THE NEW HEADQUARTERS OF ITTIERRE MODEN AND SHOWROOMS OF DOLCE&GABBANA, VERSUS AND FERRÈ. THE TOTAL AREA IS 1400MQ.
HE DESIGNED THE ITALIAN HEADQUARTERS FOR SOGETZU IKEBANA SCHOOL AND THE GONDA CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY, BOTH IN MILAN.
IN 2001, HE COMPLETED THE RESTYLING OF CESARE PACIOTTI BOUTIQUE IN NEW YORK FOR WHICH HE DESIGNED THE NEW ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT AND INITIATED THE COMPLETE RENEWAL OF THE NEW RETAIL STORES AND SHOWROOMS IN MILAN VIA SANT'ANDREA, EXTENDING THE PROJECT TO FLORENCE, ROME, LOS ANGELES, PARIS, LONDON AND NEW YORK BOUTIQUES.
IN THE FOLLOWING YEARS MANY BOUTIQUE PROJECTS WILL BE REALIZED IN ITALY: BARI, NAPLES, MILAN, FLORENCE, ROME AND ABROAD: JAKARTA, LONDON, LOS ANGELES, PARIS, AND MOSCOW.
HE WAS A CONSULTANT FOR THE GUCCI GROUP MILAN. HE HAS COLLABORATED TO THE REALIZATION OF GIORGIO ARMANI DEPARTMENT STORE IN VIA MANZONI IN MILAN.
IN 2003, HE WAS COMMISSIONED BY CASSINA FOR THE NEW CONCEPT OF ITS EXHIBITION SPACES, COMPLETED THE FOLLOWING YEAR, THE PROJECT OF RADICAL RENOVATION OF THE HISTORIC SHOWROOM IN VIA DURINI IN MILAN, WHERE HE WILL ALSO DESIGN THE PAVILION FOR SALONE DEL MOBILE.
IN THE SAME YEAR HE DEALT WITH THE URBAN DESIGN OF A SQUARE AND ART INSTALLATION IN THE CITY OF CIVITANOVA MARCHE DEDICATED TO CESARE PACIOTTI, FASHION DESIGNER.
HE DEFINES AND DEVELOPS A NEW ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT FOR THE BRAND 4US.
START PRODUCT DESIGN RELATIONSHIPS WITH ARTEMIDE, LEMA, NEMO, FIAM, B & B, NORLIGHT, VENINI, VISTOSI.
HE DESIGNED THE FACTORY SHOWROOM FOR CASSINA AND WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR AN ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT OF THE INDUSTRIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE HEADQUARTERS IN MEDA.
THE NEW CONCEPT WILL BE APPLIED TO THE NEW YORK SHOWROOM OF CASSINA AND DESIGNED FOR THEM, THE PAVILION FOR THE ICFF EXHIBITION IN NEW YORK AND COLOGNE FURNITURE FAIR.
HE BECAME AN ART DIRECTOR FOR THE CESARE PACIOTTI DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURAL SEGMENT, HE CREATED AND DESIGNED THE FIRST HOME COLLECTION OF THE BRAND.
IN 2007 HE DESIGNED THE NEW ACCESSORIES BIFFI STORE IN BERGAMO AND PRODUCES DIFFERENT WINDOWS DISPLAY FOR THEIR MILAN MULTIBRAND SHOPS, ALWAYS IN MILAN HE DESIGNED THE NEW STORE CONCEPT FOR MARILENA AND VERGELIO FASHION BRANDS, AND APPLY IT, TO NUMEROUS PRESTIGIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY.
FOR LUNGO LIVIGNO FASHION GROUP HE WILL DEAL WITH THE RESTYLING OF ALL THEIR MULTI AND MONOBRAND BOUTIQUE.
HE BECAME THE ART DIRECTOR OF RELCO GROUP FOR WHICH HE DEALS WITH THE DESIGN OF THE INSTALLATIONS TO THE LATEST EDITIONS OF EUROLUCE FAIR, LIGHT & BUILDING IN FRANKFURT MOREOVER WITH THE DESIGN OF MANY INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS. GRAPHICS OF THEIR CATALOGS AND ADVERTISING.
IN 2009 AND 2010 HE WAS COMMISSIONED BY SWAROVSKI GROUP OF DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF AN EXHIBITION PAVILION IN PORT DE VERSAILES IN PARIS FOR THE PRESENTATION OF NEW JEWELS COLLECTIONS.
IN MILAN DURING THE SALONE DEL MOBILE 2010 FOR SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS HE DESIGNED AN EXHIBITION AT THE TRIENNALE MUSEUM. IN A SPECIAL SECTION OF THE EXHIBITION, WERE SHOWN TWELVE DIFFERENT NEW INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS FOR CRYSTAL, DESIGNED BY HIM.
IN 2011, IN COLLABORATION WITH TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA HE DESIGNED THE NEW BOUTIQUE IN MILAN FOR THE SPANISH BRAND CAMPER.
HE WON IN 2011 THE COMPETITION 'DESIGN EFFICIENCY IS AN ART' WITH THE MOUNTAIN REFUGE BUILDING 'CAMANEL' IN LIVIGNO, CHARACTERIZED BY INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTIVE CHOICES, THAT MAKE BUILDING SUSTAINABLE, INTEGRATED AND MANAGED ONLY WITH RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES.
IN 2013, DESIGNED THE NEW CONCEPT STORE FOR THE CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES TAIWANESE BRAND: LINDARICO, APPLYING IT IN THE BOUTIQUE IN CORSO VENEZIA, MILAN.
IN APRIL 2014, HE DEVELOPED TWO NEW CONCEPT STORES FOR FABI AND FABI JEWELS, THEN HE APPLIED THEM IN DIFFERENT LOCATIONS IN CHINA.
IN OCTOBER 2014 HE CREATED THE NEW CONCEPT STORE FOR THE CHINESE BRAND ECHOLAC.
SINCE JULY 2015, HE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED INTERIOR DESIGN FOR CHINA EAGLE GROUP TOWER APARTMENTS IN SHANGHAI.
SINCE SEPTEMBER 2015, HE HAS BEEN DESIGNED TWO BUILDINGS IN HANGZHOU FOR JOYON AND CCCC IN APRIL 2016.
HE WAS COMMISSIONED BY JD.COM TO DESIGN ITS SHOWROOM FOR THE 2016 SALONE DEL MOBILE IN MILAN.
SINCE MAY 2016, HE HAS BEEN COMMISSIONED BY THE ITALIAN FOOTBALL FEDERATION THE RESTYLING OF THE FEDERAL TECHNICAL CENTER OF COVERCIANO AND OF THE ROMAN HEADQUARTERS OF FIGC.
FROM MARCH 2017, HE DEVELOPS INTERIOR DESIGN FOR SANXIANG IMPRESSION TOWER APARTMENTS IN SHANGHAI.
SINCE JULY 2017, HE HAS DEVELOPED FOR ALIBABA GROUP AND HEMA GROUP THE NAMING AND THE VISUAL IDENTITY FOR THE NEW BRAND DIFRESCO.
OVER THE YEARS HE HAS ALSO DEALT WITH THE PRESTIGIOUS PROJECTS OF PRIVATE HOUSES [UNDISCLOSED FOR CONFIDENTIALITY REASONS] IN MILAN, DUBAI, MOSCOW, GENEVE, SHANGHAI.
